The first batch of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus Sputnik V has been delivered to Azerbaijan.
This is reported by RIA Novosti.
“The delivery of the vaccine is a gesture of our friendship with Azerbaijan. I am glad that the Russian vaccine will contribute to Azerbaijan’s fight against coronavirus infection”, – Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov said.
Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, more than 320,000 cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in Azerbaijan. More than 4,500 people have died from the disease. Azerbaijani authorities in March authorized the use of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine to vaccinate the population.
