Russian Foreign Ministry urged Ukraine not to rely on US military assistance

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Kiev should not count on military assistance from Washington, RIA Novosti reports.

“There is no point in counting on military assistance from the United States. This was known to everyone and always. If someone harbored illusions that such help would come – well, such advisers are worthless in any government, including the government of Mr. Zelensky”, – Lavrov said.

Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov warned Ukraine against plans to supply weapons, as this could lead to an aggravation of the conflict in the territory of Donbass and would not contribute to the implementation of the Minsk agreements. Also, the majority of European politicians spoke out against the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
