Moldovan Dodon says West intends to use Moldova in its game against Russia

The leader of the Moldovan Party of Socialists, ex-President of Moldova Igor Dodon said that the West should not use the republic in its game against the Russian Federation.

On Tuesday, April 27, Dodon met with the US Ambassador to Moldova Derek Hogan, initiated by the American representative.

“He told me that Moldova should be calm, to which I replied that it also depends on them. I said that if they see our country as an element of the game against their opponent – Russia, they will not succeed. This will destabilize the situation”, – Dodon said, commenting on the results of the meeting.

In his opinion, the West is trying “by hook or by crook to create in Moldova a parliamentary majority of the controlled parties, helping President Maia Sandu to take control of the Constitutional Court, parliament, government”.

“If they win the early elections, then we will have full external control, there will be an attack on the Russian language, they will infringe on the rights of representatives of national minorities, there will be an anti-Russian policy in Moldova”, – the politician emphasized.
