According to CNN’s source, the secretary of state’s visit to Ukraine will give Kiev “a clear signal that Washington supports the Ukrainian state and values it as an ally.”
“Blinken’s visit to Ukraine could ease the European country’s concerns about a possible meeting between Biden and Putin this summer”, – the broadcaster said.
It also noted that the secretary of state’s visit could be one of the opportunities to discuss a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his US counterpart Joe Biden.
