According to Ukrainska Pravda, in an interview with Liga.net, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, speaking about the support of Ukraine by the United States, said that the appointment of a special representative to settle and end the war in Donbass is being discussed.
“If we talk about concrete steps, the appointment of a special representative of the United States to settle and end the war in Donbass is being actively discussed today. It is very important that such a person appears. Also discussed is the convergence of our position and closer cooperation in the military-defence sphere. And plus the support of the United States for Ukraine to receive a MAP”, – the OP head said.
Asked how quickly a special envoy could be appointed, Yermak said that “close contacts at the level of the secretary of state and the administration suggest that such a decision could be made fairly quickly”.
