Russia’s chargé d’affaires a.i. has been summoned to the State Department, where he strongly denied the allegations against Moscow. The Russian embassy in the US said this on its Twitter page
“The Russian Chargé d’Affaires ad interim took advantage of a meeting at the State Department today to firmly reject baseless allegations against Russia of destabilising actions in the Euro-Atlantic region”, – it said in a statement.
Recall that the US imposed new sanctions against Russia on 15 April. They affected 32 individuals and associations. Also, after 14 June, US financial institutions will not be able to buy Russian government bonds during an initial public offering.
