US investigates new deaths and hospitalizations due to Johnson & Johnson vaccine

The death of an Oregon woman has drawn the attention of the regulator to the coronavirus vaccine from Johnson & Johnson.

As Reuters reports, on Friday, April 23, advisers from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will hold a meeting on the resumption of use of J&J. Previously, its use was suspended due to cases of inoculated blood clots. AstraZeneca vaccine has a similar dangerous side effect.

“It’s important to remember that what is being reported does not necessarily mean it was caused by or related to the vaccine”, – commented Imelda Garcia of the Texas Health Agency.

According to the Oregon Health Department, a local woman over the age of 50 received the vaccine before the order was issued to suspend its use. Within two weeks of being vaccinated, the woman developed a “severe blood clot” and died as a result.

Meanwhile, in Texas, a woman was hospitalized with similar symptoms, according to a spokesman for the Texas Health Administration.
