John Sullivan headed, presumably, to the airport.
According to TASS, US Ambassador to Moscow John Sullivan left his Spaso House, presumably heading to the airport, from where he is scheduled to fly to Washington.
“Three suitcases were loaded into the ambassador’s car, after which he got into the car and drove out the gate”, – eyewitnesses from the scene report.
As Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a press conference on April 16, Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov, at a meeting with Sullivan, recommended that he go to Washington for consultations.
On Monday, the Axios portal, citing a spokesman for the US State Department, reported that Sullivan will travel to Washington this week, where he will hold consultations with representatives of the administration of President Joe Biden, and then “in the coming weeks” will return back to Moscow. State Department spokesman Ned Price did not directly admit on Tuesday that Sullivan was returning to his homeland for consultations on Moscow’s recommendations in connection with the aggravation of bilateral relations.
