Media says European Commission plans legal action against AstraZeneca

AstraZeneca wants to be obliged to provide the EU member states with the number of vaccine doses specified in the contract. The European Commission plans to launch legal proceedings against the manufacturer AstraZeneca over problems with the delivery of the vaccine. It is reported by Politico.

It is noted that this issue was discussed at a meeting of representatives of the community countries on Wednesday, April 21.

AstraZeneca wants to be obliged to provide the EU member states with the number of vaccine doses specified in the contract.

The deadline by which the EU countries must sign the start of the trial will come this week.

As previously reported, Ukraine is negotiating the purchase of vaccines against the COVID-19 coronavirus within the framework of a pan-European agreement. An additional order of the drug from AstraZeneca in the amount of 1.2 million doses is being discussed.
