Back in December, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Reznikov said that there were about 300 thousand Ukrainians with Russian passports in the “occupied territories”.
In an interview with Ukrainskaya Pravda, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Reintegration Aleksey Reznikov said that at least 400,000 residents of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions had received Russian passports.
“Statistics are constantly changing, Russians say one thing, we check something else. But there is at least 400 thousand, this is true”, – the Deputy Prime Minister said.
Recall that in the spring of 2019, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a simplified procedure for issuing Russian citizenship to residents of the LPR and Ukrainians who lived in Crimea and Donbass until the spring of 2014. Later, Putin expanded the simplified issuance of Russian passports to the entire Donbass.
