Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted the invitation of the head of the White House, Joe Biden, to speak at the climate summit, which will be held via videoconference.
“Putin will outline Russia’s approaches in the context of establishing broad international cooperation aimed at overcoming the negative consequences of global climate change”, – the Kremlin press service said.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden proposed to organize a summit to discuss climate issues, which will take place on April 22-23 in an online format. Washington noted that the American president invited 40 world leaders to the summit.
