Protests over the killing of an African-American man have been taking place in the US for a week now

Protests over the murder of black man Dante Wright are taking place for the seventh consecutive night in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. After last night’s mass arrests, the demonstrations on Saturday are proceeding without incident so far, NBC’s local affiliate notes

More than 300 people gathered outside the police station where Kim Potter, who shot Wright and was later fired, served that evening, according to the broadcaster. Most of them behaved peacefully, at times shouting slogans demanding justice for the murder of the African American.

With the curfew coming up at 23:00 local time, the protesters, according to NBC journalists, intensified.
