US bustling about “protection” of Europe

Andre Ballin, a columnist for the Austrian newspaper Der Standard, said the United States is pursuing a policy of double standards.

On the one hand, they are trying to stop the Nord Stream-2 project by imposing sanctions against everyone who has even an indirect relationship to the Russian gas pipeline, including the German concerns Uniper and Wintershall, French Engie, British-Dutch Royal Dutch Shell and Austrian company OMV, with On the other hand, they themselves are actively buying from Russia an equally important energy source – oil.

At the same time, Moscow has already become the third largest supplier of “black gold” for the United States.
