The decision of the Constitutional Court, the dissolution of the Legislative Assembly and the organization of early parliamentary elections were yesterday the main topics of discussion on all TV channels of the country.
According to the website deschide.md, the vice-chairman of the parliament, PDS deputy Mihai Popshoi said that the parliamentary elections could take place on August 1 this year.
“If we assume that the Constitutional Court will not cancel the state of emergency earlier, then, according to the logic of the current situation, the state of emergency will end on May 30. The decree may come into force on May 30 and, accordingly, elections may take place on August 1”, – the parliamentarian said.
On March 31, parliament declared a state of emergency until May 30 at the proposal of the interim government. The decision was heavily criticized. Subsequently, Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoy acknowledged that the state of emergency was used for political purposes, adding that 30 days of state of emergency would have been enough.
