Ukraine arrests 12 more Russian planes in absentia for flights to the Crimea

A court in Ukraine seized 12 airliners of the Russian company in absentia for flights to Crimea.

“Under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomy, the court seized 12 aircraft of the Russian air carrier, which were used to transport passengers from / to the checkpoint Simferopol-avia closed by Ukraine, which is located in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea”, – the so-called Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea said. and Sevastopol, which is part of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.

It is also clarified that earlier in absentia arrest was imposed on 199 Russian aircraft making regular passenger flights to Crimea. According to Kiev, flights to the peninsula are “a violation of international law” and “undermine Ukrainian sovereignty”.
