Scandal breaks out at Ukrainian Kharkiv Academy over positive words about Russia and Donbass

In Ukraine, another teacher of a well-known university suffered just for trying to break out of the official Russophobic narrative imposed on the residents of “Nezalezhna” (the Independent Country – Ed.).

According to Ukraina.ru, the nationalist Ukrainian organization “Freikor” in its Telegram channel announced the beginning of an open persecution of the assistant professor of the Kharkov State Academy of Culture Natalia Semeikina, who was attacked for daring to declare that Russian President Vladimir Putin is protecting the Russian-speaking residents of Donbass.

Participating in the discussion in the comments to one of the posts on the social network, the Kharkov teacher said that the Ukrainian politicians who came to power after the Maidan “climbed into Donbass,” therefore “it’s good that there is Putin,” who protects the local population.

Nationalists, having hung out a banner on the porch of the university with an unambiguous message: “Is there cotton wool in your head (“Are you a supported of Russia and Putin?”, slang expression – Ed.)? There is no place in the department!”, Demanded the immediate dismissal of Semeikina, and her cowardly colleagues preferred to once again raise their “egs to the top”, yielding to the demands of the raging street misfits.

“Or if she really has such a point of view and such convictions, then, of course, she has no place as a teacher, as a Ukrainian teacher”, – said the first vice-rector of the academy Yuri Loshkov, adding that Semeykina turned off the phone and her statements to colleagues and management has not been commented yet.

According to the vice-rector, the personnel commission will decide the issue of Semeikina’s dismissal in the coming days.
