American general offers Putin to cut off Ukraine from the Black Sea

Ukrainian aggression in Donbass may end up with the country losing its access to the sea.

The American general offers Putin to cut off Ukraine from the Black Sea As reported by News Front, now the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics are again facing Ukrainian aggression. The regime of silence, which the President of Ukraine Zelensky was so proud of, existed exactly until the local elections ended in the country. Since then, tensions on the demarcation line have grown, and the rhetoric of Ukrainian officials has become increasingly harsh.

Ultimately, the National Security Council of Ukraine allowed the chastisers to open fire on peaceful settlements in Donbass, and the shelling became more frequent and intense. Although the Armed Forces of Ukraine have so far refrained from a full-scale offensive, the expert community points to signs of an impending assault.

Such actions of Kiev can force Moscow to react proportionately, given that hundreds of thousands of Russian citizens live in Donbass today. But the confrontation will not be limited to Donbass alone, says Ben Hodges, the former commander of the US Armed Forces in Europe.

Earlier, the American general had already proposed to Putin a plan to invade Ukraine under the pretext of a water crisis in Crimea. Since his predictions did not come true, Hodges voiced a new scenario for the Russian-Ukrainian war.

“I believe that it is a priority for Russia to cut off Ukraine from the Black Sea. In fact, the Kremlin needs absolute control over the Black Sea coast from Odessa to eastern Ukraine, says the American. “All the maneuvers of the Russian army that we see now are a distraction.”
Hodges also noted that in this way Russia will be able to restore water supply to Crimea from the mainland, thus referring to its previous assumptions.
