In Ukraine, price growth accelerated sharply in March. According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, compared to February, inflation increased by 1.7%, and since the beginning of the year – by 4.1%.
On an annualized basis, inflation accelerated to 8.5% (from 7.5% in February).
So, in March, food prices went up by 2.2%. Most of all rose in price: sunflower oil – by 9.7%, sugar – by 4.8%, fruits – by 3.5%.
