Moldovan Dodon says Sandu isolated from Moldovan citizens

The leader of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) Igor Dodon believes that Moldova does not have external isolation, as previously stated by the president of the republic, Maia Sandu, but internal isolation from the people, writes EurAsia Daily.

Dodon noted that after taking office, Sandu first went on a visit to Brussels and Kiev, after which she said that “Moldova has been withdrawn from external isolation”. However, the president never paid her first visit to Transnistria as head of state and does not hold meetings with the citizens of the republic.

The PSRM leader also stressed that during the 100 days of Sandu’s presidency, she did not make a single visit to the Gagauz autonomy. In addition, the head of Moldova expelled the Bashkan of Gagauzia from the Supreme Security Council of the republic, replacing the vacant position with representatives of non-governmental organizations receiving grants from the United States and the European Union.

“Do you know why they were appointed? Because they are watching over Maya Sandu so that she does not suddenly do something more than is required of her. Therefore, there is this isolation – presidencies from the people and regions. And it will not end well”, – concluded Dodon.
