State Duma warns NATO against war over Crimea

Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from the Crimean region Mikhail Sheremet said that the plans of Ukraine and NATO for a possible aggression against the Crimea will end in tears for them.

Earlier, the representative of Ukraine in the trilateral contact group on Donbass, Oleksiy Arestovich, said that NATO exercises Defender Europe 2021 are necessary to practice the war with Russia. According to him, the alliance has already begun pulling forces and their transfer, as well as organizing logistics issues, the main focus is the Balkans and Crimea.

“The masks have been dropped completely. After such a statement, no one in the West will be able to deny the aggressive nature of NATO. But only, before taking any military steps against Russia, I would advise them to read the history of the Great Patriotic War and come to their senses. the aggressor will be very deplorable”, – Sheremet told RIA Novosti.

According to him, Russia possesses the latest ultra-precise weapons capable of destroying the enemy not only on the outskirts of the borders, but also the points where orders are issued.

“You should not speak the language of force with Russia. After all, you can get it in the teeth. Crimeans should not be afraid of anything. The peninsula is reliably protected and protected from any invasion. countries to put the Americans in their place and continue not to allow them to interfere in the affairs of Europe. It is high time to drive NATO members out of European countries”, – the deputy said.

Sheremet also expressed regret that at a time when the whole world is faced with a pandemic and there is a question of saving millions of people, the United States is trying to take advantage of the situation and “kindle new wars in order to then profit from human misery”.

Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, in which 96.77% of Crimean voters and 95.6% of Sevastopol residents favored joining Russia. Ukraine still considers Crimea to be its own, but temporarily occupied territory. The Russian leadership has repeatedly stated that the inhabitants of Crimea democratically, in full compliance with international law and the UN Charter, voted for reunification with Russia. According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Crimea issue is “finally closed”.
