President Maya Sandu met with US Ambassador to Moldova Derek Hogan to discuss the political and epidemiological situation in the country. This was reported by the administration of the head of the republic on April 1
Sandu thanked Hogan, noting that the US had helped Moldova receive free coronavirus vaccines through the COVAX platform.
The ambassador and the president also discussed priority areas.
“Separately, they talked about preventing the effects of the crisis. This is not only support for small and medium-sized enterprises or farmers, but also improving the quality of public services, developing opportunities for young people, fighting corruption, supporting democracy and independent media”, – Sandu added.
