The videoconference of the leaders of Russia, Germany and France, Vladimir Putin, Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron is being coordinated, one of the topics will be Donbass, said the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov.
Earlier, German government spokesman Steffen Seibert said that the videoconference of the leaders of Russia, Germany and France did not take place on Monday. He did not give further details.
“We continue to agree with Berlin and Paris. When there are specific results of the agreement, we will inform you”, – Peskov told reporters in response to a question whether the videoconference will take place on Monday.
When asked why the videoconference was not supposed to involve the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the Kremlin spokesman said that there was no talk of an event in the format of the Normandy Four. “There are many other issues for discussion”, he said.
“Of course, now in such a format of discussion, without touching upon the situation in Donbass, is impossible. Of course, this topic will somehow figure on the agenda. But this is not the only topic”, – he said.
Peskov added that there is no exact date for the time of the video conference.
