Pashinyan announces voluntary resignation

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will resign next month in order to meet the deadlines for holding early parliamentary elections, which he himself indicated earlier. The head of the government shared his plans today, March 28, during a meeting with residents of the village of Aragats in the Armavir region of the republic.

During the extraordinary election campaign in the country, he will act as the head of the Cabinet, Nikol Pashinyan noted.

“I will resign in April. But not in order to leave power, but to hold early parliamentary elections.
If citizens reaffirm their mandate of trust, he and his team will continue to serve them with “even greater efficiency than before”, – he said.
