In Kiev, a line of dozens of ambulances was filmed, which could not get to the hospital with patients infected with COVID-19 due to a lack of seats.
According to the publication Ukraina.ru, according to eyewitnesses, the queue lined up in front of the Kiev hospital number 12 on the Professor Podvysotsky street.
“More than 20 ambulances <…> came to put people under oxygen concentrators. The situation inside the hospital is not much better – there are no more places, they are putting beds in the dining room”, – the message says.
Earlier, Deputy Mayor of Kiev Volodymyr Bondarenko said that the capital’s hospitals, which treat COVID-19 patients, are 100% full. He noted that the Kiev authorities are awaiting a decision from the government to re-profile departmental hospitals for the treatment of patients with coronavirus, which will make it possible to get about 11 thousand beds.
