More than a thousand people are taking part in a protest in Bristol against the Police Extension Bill.
“More than a thousand protesters remain in Bristol city centre. I would like to remind them that their presence there increases the risk of the spread of the coronavirus. We have ensured they can march through the city and are now urging everyone to disperse to their homes”, – said a statement from local police.
The protesters marched through the town centre and reached the police station building, which was attacked by vandals last weekend. Some of the protesters spread out on the roads, blocking car traffic.
