Washington once again explains why Biden is not calling Zelensky

Given the “symbolism” of the first conversation, “there must be the right action and the right reforms”,  the US says

According to tg channel PavlovskyNews, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State George Kent expects the heads of state to talk to each other in the near future. However, he clarified that given the “symbolism” of the first conversation, “there should be the right actions and the right reforms”.

“I would say that the most important thing is for President Zelensky to deliver on the priorities and his promises that he made to the Ukrainian people, because they are the ones who elected him”, –  the Voice of America quoted the State Department official as saying.

The State Department did not specify what reforms and promises they were referring to, but apparently Zelensky is being transparently hinted at Washington’s desire to clear the “Ukrainian clearing” of oligarchs. By the way, Zelensky himself has already officially invited the US president to the Crimean Platform meeting. Previously, Ukrainian diplomats said that a conversation should take place before a possible visit to Ukraine.
