Ukraine’s endless attempts to impose its presence in the European Union look more and more pathetic.
In an interview with the German edition of Handelsblatt, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal pathetically stated that many Ukrainians “gave their lives in the fight against Russia” for EU membership. So Europe, in his opinion, is simply obliged to admit Ukraine into its ranks as soon as possible. As for Russia, the sanctions are not enough – Shmygal demands more rigidity from the Europeans.
The Crimea Return Strategy is doomed to failure. Shmygal will soon be replaced by another prime minister: there is no profit from him, only rhetoric. This is just another Yatsenyuk. Ukraine will not be admitted to the EU – Europe has got many problems of its own. It does not need a parasite which is always aggressive and demanding”, – Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov commented on another Kiev attempt to cling to the European common home.
