Britain intends to strengthen its presence in the Black Sea

The British Ministry of Defense has presented a plan for reforming the armed forces, which refers to the intensification of the presence of the British military in the Arctic and the Balkans, as well as in the Baltic, Mediterranean and Black Seas.

“We will expand our presence in the Black Sea region, the High North, the Baltic and the Western Balkans (where we are implementing a new regional initiative to train allied troops). The presence will be built within the framework of multilateral groups”, – the document says.

The Defense Department noted that Britain intends to strengthen cooperation with Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine in ensuring “freedom of navigation and security” in the Black Sea.
