In several countries of the European Union, the level of confidence to the British-Swedish anti-COVID vaccine “AstraZeneca” has dropped significantly. This is evidenced by the results of a survey of the British Institute YouGov, writes DW.
Most people in Germany, France, Spain and Italy consider the AstraZeneca vaccine unsafe. Over the past month, the number of Germans who do not trust the vaccine has increased by 15 percentage points to reach 55%.
“In France, 61% of the population distrusts the AstraZeneca vaccine. In Spain and Italy, about 40%. They are more skeptical about the British-Swedish vaccine in Germany – about 70% of Germans do not consider it safe”, – the survey said.
Earlier, a number of countries suspended the use of the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine after reports of blood clots and death of patients immediately after vaccination. However, despite this information, the European Medicines Agency has spoken in favor of further use of the drug in European countries.
