The leader of the Pro Moldova party, Andrian Candu, said that his party will not vote for the PCRM candidate Vladimir Golovatyuk, who was nominated for the post of Prime Minister of Moldova.
“The parliamentary group PRO Moldova will not support the candidacy of Vladimir Golovatyuk, who was nominated for prime minister by the parliamentary majority”, – Candu wrote on his Facebook page.
Earlier, Moldovan President Maia Sandu nominated PAS faction leader Igor Grosu as a candidate for prime minister.
However, the socialists challenged this decision in the Constitutional Court and nominated the current ambassador of Moldova to Russia, Vladimir Golovatyuk. His candidacy was also supported by “Shor” and “For Moldova”: thus 53 deputies voted for the nomination of Golovatyuk for the post of prime minister.
