Media: West spens nearly 2 billion rubles on “independent journalism” in Russia

The portal “Committee for the Defense of National Interests”, which is investigating the financing of foreign agents in Russia by the West, has made public the amount spent by Western countries on alleged “independent journalism”.

“Major sponsors in recent years were the following: the European Commission, the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor of the US Department of State, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Justice for Journalists Foundation (M. Khodorkovsky), the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), The Nordic Council of Ministers, the Fritta Orda Foundation, the American-Russian Foundation for Economic and Legal Development, the Swedish Institute, the Media Development Investment Fund / MDIF (Czech Republic), the Fritta Orda Foundation, as well as the Prague Civil Society Center” – the Committee writes in its Telegram channel.
