Montenegro allows entry to Russians vaccinated with Sputnik V

Montenegrin authorities are actively working to improve the epidemiological situation in the country to open the tourist season before June

Ivana Djurovic, state secretary for tourism at the Ministry of Economic Development of Montenegro, said that Montenegro’s borders are open to tourists from Russia, requiring a negative PCR test, or Sputnik V vaccination, or the presence of antibodies to the coronavirus to enter the country.

“The borders of Montenegro are open to tourists from Russia. Citizens of the Russian Federation can be assured that they can come to Montenegro with a Sputnik V vaccination certificate”, –  she said.

At the same time, the confirmation of vaccination against coronavirus must be issued by an authorized health institution at least 7 days before arrival in the country.

According to Djurovic, for those not vaccinated against COVID-19, a negative PCR test done at least 48 hours before arrival or the presence of antibodies is required from the documents.

“If a person has a positive serological test, i.e. antibodies issued by a registered laboratory and not older than 30 days, they can also enter the country”, –  explained the Secretary of State for Tourism.
