According to him, Greece intends to serve more passengers and, from May, to receive all Russians.
According to RIA Novosti, Greece increased the number of entry permits for Russians eight-fold – from March 22 the country will be able to receive four thousand Russian citizens per week instead of the previous 500.
Tourism Minister Charis Theoharis said that the border for Russian tourists will be opened on May 14, and if the epidemiological situation allows it, in the beginning of the month.
Currently, it is possible to enter the country by air only through three airports – Athens, Thessaloniki and Heraklion. A negative PCR test for COVID-19, taken no more than 72 hours before arrival in Greece, and a certificate in English with all details are required.
