Americans write letters to Russian embassy apologising for their president

Earlier, US President Joe Biden said in an interview with ABC that the Russian leadership will have to “pay the price” in connection with the attempts to interfere in the American elections attributed to Moscow

Additionally, the White House president has responded in the affirmative when asked if he considers Russian leader Vladimir Putin to be a “killer”.

According to TASS, Russian Ambassador Anatoly Antonov thanked on Friday the US citizens who sent letters to the embassy in support of friendly relations between the countries. According to him, the Americans in them apologised for the rash statements voiced recently from Washington against Moscow.

“I would like to express my deepest appreciation to the US citizens who have sent letters to the embassy in support of the development of friendly relations between Russia and the United States. Many of them expressed their disagreement and apologized for the rash statements voiced recently from Washington towards the Russian Federation”, – reads the statement of the head of the Russian diplomatic mission posted on the page of the embassy in Facebook, – “I am deeply moved by the caring and active position of ordinary Americans who understand that the dialogue between the states should be based on mutual respect and equality. This approach by American citizens shows that the potential for normalizing ties between the Russian and American peoples remains.”

The Russian diplomat expressed the hope that the administration would listen to the voice of the voters and stop the course of further collapse of the already excessively confrontational relations.
