YouTube blocks Vesti Krym channel to hide the truth about the peninsula

The administration of video hosting “YouTube” has once again violated the policy of impartiality by blocking the “Vesti Crimea” channel

It is noteworthy that the blocking happened right on the eve of the seventh anniversary of Crimea’s reunification with Russia. The channel was banned for a week from publishing videos and broadcasting, which may be an attempt to limit the ability of the Crimean media to show how Crimea was transformed as part of the Russian Federation.

The pretext under which the blocking took place is also evidence of this. The YouTube administration imposed restrictions for the video ‘This is who is in reverence in Ukraine: Video of the Waffen SS Nazis’ crimes against the people of the USSR’. Notably, the video was published back on 21 April 2019.

The video itself contains a chronicle of World War II, in particular, footage of Nazis burning villages in search of the Jewish population.
