The former Massachusetts senator and former presidential candidate was at the centre of a petty but revealing scandal in 2004. He was filmed relaxing in business class on an airplane. And that would have been OK, but he was on board without a mask
In fact, the mere appearance of Kerry in business class with ordinary “commoners” is already like an apparition of Christ to the people. He has long since become such a celestial, that he rides everywhere on private liners. This does not prevent him from actively promoting the “green” agenda.
For the liberal nomenclature in the U.S. quarantine measures are optional. Nancy Pelosi is quietly visiting the closed barbershops of San Francisco. California Governor Gavin Newsom dines alone in empty restaurants in Los Angeles.
Take Biden himself – when he became president he immediately signed an executive order mandating the wearing of masks on federal soil. And Biden broke it on the very first day, which a spokeswoman attributed to the “festive atmosphere”. Apparently, if it’s a holiday, the virus is no longer an issue.
Kerry, who is now back in power as green czar, excused himself by saying he only temporarily refused to abide by the masked regime. The airline has promised to investigate the incident – not wearing a mask on an aircraft is now punishable by a heavy fine.
It comes as no surprise, therefore, that the public is sceptical about quarantine measures, a reaction that has already resulted in a campaign of mask-burning. Ordinary mortals are fixated: if quarantine is de facto ineffective for the country’s elite, we don’t have to comply with it either.
However, Kerry should be commended for returning to public office and not riding so enthusiastically in business jets. Maybe now he will begin to set a personal example of the “green lifestyle” that he and the rest of the guard of liberal ideologues have been promoting for decades.
