The U.S. president also added that the U.S. will consider new opportunities for economic cooperation with Azerbaijan
US President Joe Biden said his administration was committed to working with Azerbaijan to achieve regional peace.
“My administration will work with Azerbaijan to resolve issues of common concern related to security and regional peace. As co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, we are committed to helping the parties achieve a long-term peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, encouraging reconciliation between Armenia and Azerbaijan for a prosperous and peaceful future”, – Biden said in his Novruz holiday message to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. The text of the message was published on Thursday on the website of the Azerbaijani President.
The US president also stressed his administration’s support for Azerbaijan’s efforts to diversify its economy and develop energy opportunities in the Caspian Sea. “The US intends to consider new opportunities for economic cooperation,” the message stresses.
