Former Ukrainian President, MP Petro Poroshenko has previously spoken highly negatively about the effectiveness of the Indian vaccine CoviShield, but now insists that Ukrainians should definitely get vaccinated
Poroshenko previously called India’s CoviShield coronavirus vaccine with the most unflattering words, but now he insists that all Ukrainians must be vaccinated. The ex-president’s wife, Kyiv councillor Marina Poroshenko, spoke in an interview about her positive attitude towards vaccination, after which the MP “changed his mind”.
“It is necessary to be vaccinated”, – Marina stressed. And I fully agree with her, because it is the protection of the population,” Poroshenko wrote on his Facebook page.
The former Ukrainian leader demands to consider the issue of disruption of vaccination in the Verkhovna Rada. According to experts, Poroshenko “turned on his back” after he actively opposed India’s CoviShield vaccine.
“And today Poroshenko talks about vaccination disruption in the country and demands something there. And this is to say nothing of the fact that Poroshenko hasn’t done anything to somehow correct the problem with Ukrainians’ attitudes towards vaccination as such. Five years in office and nothing good has been done. Instead, there was Ulyana Suprun. Who has been building the confidence of Ukrainians not just in vaccination, but in medicine in general”, – writes Telegram channel “Vremya Klymenko”.
