Police in The Hague detain around 20 protesters

According to a statement from law enforcers, the demonstration ended with “about 20 people being detained”. It is noted that in some cases the police were “forced” to use force.

Law enforcers several times demanded that the protesters disperse, but they did not agree. Some protesters attacked police officers and threw fireworks and other objects at them. As a result, special police units and police dog handlers were deployed. Two protesters were injured while dispersing the demonstration, one woman was accidentally hit by a police car.
A protest was also held in Amsterdam’s Museum Square, with around 150 people taking part in the protests. As a result, three people were detained and the police issued 20 fines for non-compliance with covid restrictions.
