The vaccine purchased by Ukraine expires

At the current rate of vaccination, Ukraine will have time to use only half of the doses of the Covishield vaccine, which is valid until June 23, 2021. This is reported by the Ukrainian media, referring to documents on the supply of Indian vaccines to Ukraine.

“Considering that Ukraine received 500,000 doses of vaccine, the vaccination rate must at least double in order for the entire batch to be used on time”, – Ukrainian media said.

Now the average rate of vaccination in Ukraine is about 2,400 vaccinations per day, therefore, until June 23, while maintaining the existing rates, Ukraine will have time to use only half of the imported vaccines.

StateWatch reported that the Ukrainian Ministry of Health approached Crown Agents about the possibility of providing data on the production date and shelf life of the Covishield drug. At the same time, the ministry noted that in accordance with the requirements of the manufacturers, nondisclosure and confidentiality agreements were signed, initiated by the relevant companies. Therefore, the outcome of the negotiations cannot be disclosed.
