Kremlin source says West preparing information attack on “Sputnik V” with a faked death of people

The West is preparing a scenario of an information attack on the Russian vaccine Sputnik V with a faked mass death of people allegedly as a result of the use of the drug. This was reported to TASS on Friday by a high-ranking source in the Kremlin.

“Through controlled non-governmental organizations (US Agency for International Development, Soros Foundation, Thomson Reuters Foundation) and media structures (BBC, Reuters, Internews), a scenario of an information attack on Sputnik V is being prepared to reinforce the promoted theses about the “ineffectiveness and danger of the vaccine” by faking mass deaths of people allegedly as a result of the use of the drug”, – he said.

According to the source, the attack is planned against the backdrop of growing worldwide demand for the Russian vaccine.

On February 2, the medical journal The Lancet published the results of the third phase of a clinical trial of a Russian vaccine, according to which it turned out to be one of the safest and most effective in the world. The effectiveness of the drug is 91.6%, among volunteers over 60 years old – 91.8%. Antibodies to coronavirus after vaccination with “Sputnik V” were found in 98% of the volunteers.
