Bulgaria stops using AstraZeneca vaccine

Following many European countries in Bulgaria, vaccination with the drug AstraZeneca is suspended. This was stated by the Prime Minister of the country Boyko Borisov.

“Until an accurate and clearly confirmed diagnosis is received in writing from the European Medicines Agency, the use of the Astra Zeneca vaccine will be suspended”, – he said.

According to Boyko, Health Minister Professor Kostadin Angelov announced his readiness to issue an order to temporarily suspend the use of the Oxford vaccine in Bulgaria until all inspections of the Bulgarian Medicines Executive Agency and the European Medicines Agency are completed.
