Joe Biden’s campaign promises to liberalize migration policy led to a huge increase in those wishing to break into the United States across the border, which Donald Trump wanted to wall off.
According to the US Customs and Border Protection Service, the number of refugees increased by more than 100% between January and February. The number of children who try to cross the American border on their own has increased by 60%.
Additional problems are posed by smugglers who promise migrants unhindered entry into the United States thanks to Biden’s policies. The problem is that the new president has not yet been able to realize his plans. In fact, the US still has strict migration rules approved by Donald Trump, and the new administration is placing refugees in special isolation wards while the relevant agencies are considering their asylum applications.
Moreover, single adults, who make up the majority of those crossing the border, are not allowed by US border guards at all.
