Namibia became the 50th country to approve the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) said in a statement.
“RDIF announces registration of the Russian vaccine against the Sputnik V coronavirus in the fiftieth country – the Republic of Namibia. The Ministry of Health and Social Support of Namibia has registered the drug under an emergency use authorization (EUA). The Sputnik V vaccine is approved in countries with a common population of over 1.3 billion people”, – the fund said.
“The approval of the Sputnik V vaccine in 50 countries is a new important milestone. RDIF cooperates with partners around the world and offers one of the best vaccines in terms of effectiveness, safety and availability. We see high interest and are making every effort to meet the demand for the Russian vaccine. so that more countries have the opportunity to protect their populations thanks to Sputnik V”, – the head of the RDIF Kirill Dmitriev said.
