“Democracy under threat”: Hogan called the common problem of the USA and Moldova

The US Ambassador to Moldova Derek Hogan said that fragile democracy is under threat not only in Moldova, but also in the United States.

“Let’s be honest. Democracies are fragile and the transition to democracy is often chaotic. Democracy is under threat everywhere, including in the United States”, – Hogan said.

The ambassador noted that the United States, like Moldova, “is struggling to resolve the urgent medical and economic crisis caused by this terrible coronavirus pandemic”. Hogan also stressed that the United States will continue to “support the Moldovan people”.

Earlier it was reported that the US Ambassador to Moldova said in an interview that the US expects the Moldovan authorities to radically reform the justice system and create a favorable environment for attracting “foreign investment”.
