Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Andrei Rudenko stressed that the situation in Armenia is the internal affairs of this country, but Russia is interested in normalizing the situation as soon as possible.
“We regard this as an internal affair of Armenia. We do not interfere with these processes that are taking place there, and do not take sides. We want the situation to return to normal as quickly as it will benefit everyone”, – Rudenko said.
The political crisis in Armenia escalated on February 25, when Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Onik Gasparyan announced the need to resign Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. In response, the Prime Minister sent a petition to the President of Armenia Armen Sargsyan to dismiss Gasparyan.
