Moldovan Dodon says in case of dissolution of parliament, unrest and chaos awaits Moldova

The chairman of the socialist party PSRM, former President of Moldova Igor Dodon believes that if the head of the republic, Maia Sandu, dissolves the parliament, it will lead to disorder and chaos, reports EurAsia Daily.

“The current government will work for another two years. It is a very difficult scenario, since the cabinet of ministers has no powers. Another option is to try to find a legal way out of this situation through a change in the Constitution, the resignation of the president, or the interpretation of the Constitutional Court. Also, riots and general destabilization are not ruled out”, – Dodon said.

According to him, the main priority of the state is to stabilize the situation with the coronavirus and only then consider the issue of holding early parliamentary elections. Earlier, Moldovan President Maia Sandu announced her intention to seek “the immediate dissolution of the current parliamentary corps”.
