Kremlin calls condition of meeting between Putin and Zelensky

Russian President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov believes that a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky is possible with careful preparation, which includes the implementation of the Minsk Agreements.

Peskov stressed that Putin never rejects a priori any meetings, especially when meetings can be productive and benefit everyone.

“Any meeting, especially at the highest level, should be well prepared, in this case, the best preparation can and should be the implementation of previously reached agreements, first of all we are talking about the Minsk package of measures, and secondly, we are talking about the agreements that were reached in Paris”, – said the press secretary of the Russian president.

Zelensky previously announced his readiness to meet separately with each of the leaders of the Normandy Four countries in the event that the quadripartite talks are postponed.
