Australia’s Health Minister hospitalised after being vaccinated against COVID-19

Australian Health Minister Greg Hunt has been hospitalised with a suspected infection two days after being vaccinated against the coronavirus, the ABC television channel reported, citing the minister’s office

According to the statement, Hunt was vaccinated with AstraZeneca and his condition was not related to the vaccination. The minister will spend the night in hospital under observation and has been prescribed antibiotics.

 

“The minister is expected to make a full recovery… It is believed that his condition is not related to the vaccine”, –  a TV channel quoted a statement from the office as saying.

According to the channel’s latest figures, 28,873 cases of the coronavirus were first identified in Australia during the pandemic, 909 people died and 28,029 recovered.
