The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected the last of former President Donald Trump’s three appeals over the election results, the court’s database shows
The court upheld a lower court ruling that rejected Trump’s lawsuit seeking not to count the results of thousands of votes in Wisconsin, which Trump lost to Joe Biden by a margin of 20,000 votes. The Supreme Court did not explain its decision.
The Supreme Court had previously refused to hear a lawsuit by Texas and several states seeking a review of the presidential election results. Despite having three Trump appointees on the Supreme Court, the court has made it clear that it is not going to interfere with the vote count handled by state authorities.
In the lower courts, Trump has lost about 55 cases and won only one, which nevertheless did not affect the outcome of the election. That said, Trump still does not accept the results of the election and claims he won it.
